Art is a fantastic gift idea. Who doesn’t need more beauty in their life? When you give an original work of art you are giving a gift that is literally one-of-a-kind. Rather than being shelved or given away, your gift winds up on the wall, looked at daily, perhaps for years to come. I have many pieces in my home from friends and artists I know, and I think of those people nearly every time I view that work. It’s a great way to build on connections with friends and family.
Art is a great gift for the receiver, but did you know your art gift becomes four gifts?

There are so many ways to make a difference in this world. We can volunteer, advocate, create beauty and pray. We can also give money. In our country, the government will often give us a tax deduction for financial gifts, too.
For those of us who care about the arts and a faith that puts love and mercy first, Bleeding Heart is one organization worth supporting.

Remember that old saying, 'crime doesn't pay'? I think they meant to say 'art'.
I am continually scratching my head, trying to figure out just how to make art pay. How to make a living from this life. Don't get me wrong, it's worth every non-penny it brings my way, but it would be awful nice to sustain a family with these creative gifts, too.
This struggle isn't only mine, of course. It may well be yours, too. And it is certainly, thus far, the story of the Bleeding Heart Art Space.
