It's Giving Tuesday, and if you choose to support Bleeding Heart Art Space today, you can super-power that gift by inviting friends and family to give as well.
This type of share may come easy for you, or you may struggle with just how to say what you want to say. We've got some help for you.
One of our community members, an artist with a lot of experience raising funds for good causes, has generously provided the following text that you can use in full or draw from as you share your Bleeding Heart this season.

Tomorrow, with the closing of WHAT BERNICE SEES, we'll have finished our first full season in our 118th ave home. A full season, for us, aligns with the school year (because everyone deserves summers off!)
Summer gives us some time to retool, retouch and reconfigure. This summer will bring some major Bleeding Heart upgrades, both made possible by some beautiful generosity on behalf of Daniel van Heyst and King's University, where van Heyst teaches art. So first and foremost, thank you Daniel, and thank you King's.
Our summer makeover will enable us to show more work, and to show that work more professionally.

There are so many ways to make a difference in this world. We can volunteer, advocate, create beauty and pray. We can also give money. In our country, the government will often give us a tax deduction for financial gifts, too.
For those of us who care about the arts and a faith that puts love and mercy first, Bleeding Heart is one organization worth supporting.

The first step to making a living as an artist is pretty simple. People need to be able to pay you. Today, we’re going to continue adding e-commerce to an artist website with one very simple step–the Patron Button.

Remember that old saying, 'crime doesn't pay'? I think they meant to say 'art'.
I am continually scratching my head, trying to figure out just how to make art pay. How to make a living from this life. Don't get me wrong, it's worth every non-penny it brings my way, but it would be awful nice to sustain a family with these creative gifts, too.
This struggle isn't only mine, of course. It may well be yours, too. And it is certainly, thus far, the story of the Bleeding Heart Art Space.
