Grab Your Scissors, Glue and Imagination For Our Latest Workshop

Last year I sat in a room with a dozen or so others and learned how to set my imagination free with nothing but a pair of scissors and some glue, thanks the the guidance of Edmonton artist Hannah Gelderman. I'm so glad she's returning, armed with her collection of excellent magazines and images, to do it all over again.

Whether you want to craft a fantasy from thin air, capture some quirky humour for a hand-made card or head in a more serious direction with your collage, you'll enjoy this night of hands-on creative community. Hannah Gelderman is a whiz with scissors, and a great teacher.

$25 gets you in and covers supplies, though you are welcome to bring some of your own images to cut-out-of-context. I recommend bringing a friend too - this is a great way to spend an evening together.

Hannah Gelderman is an artist, illustrator and arts-based community organizer living and working in Edmonton. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design. In addition to her own art practice Gelderman can often be found teaching classes or workshops, and inviting art into environmental and social justice causes.
