Alana Levandoski Sings the Whole Story

When you can get poets Joel McKerrow, Malcolm Guite, Scott Cairns and Luci Shaw to contribute to a track on your album, you must be doing something right.

You'll find all four poets on "The Christ Hymn", featured in the video below. I highly recommend you sit back and soak that video in as small celebration of this Easter Monday. In fact, I'm going to do that right after I finish this post.

The Christ Hymn comes from Alana Levandoksi's recent album "Behold, I Make All Things New". The album is a worship experience that includes corresponding visual art and was recently recommended by Image Journal. Levandoski creates a narrative arc that moves from creation to fall to redemption to new creation. It's a journey well worth taking, and includes a stop off for a cover of Leonard Cohen's heartbreaking "Show Me The Place".

Levandoski is often invited join guitar legend Steve Bell on stage when he comes around these here parts, as she herself is now living in Edmonton.

I don't need to say much more about what Alana is up to though, because she's done a pretty good job saying it herself, here.
