‘Kinnart' Ravine Community Outdoor Art Gallery Celebration
Local community-arts-superhero Sebastian Barrera has brought together dozens of artists and creatives to create 50 large panels of art to affix along the pathway of the beautiful Kinnard Ravine. This pathway has been the site of frequent tagging and vandalism, but Barrera and his crew believe they can change all that, with beauty.
Come cheer them on and even help with the install as you take in a rejuvenated Kinnard Ravine on Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.
From the Facebook event;
"Come celebrate with us the creation of our commity's first outdoor art gallery, Volunteers needed for instalation of more than 50 pieces of art. Come help us to make this dream posible.

Remembering: Tales of Valour and Hope
At the heart of all great art is a good story. At the heart of our freedom to create are those who fought for that freedom. With Remembrance Day coming right up, what better way to remember the sacrifice of so many than through storytelling?
From the event site;
"Many of us cannot remember on Remembrance Day. Let the storytellers from TALES give you someone to remember. They’ll share the stories of soldiers, nurses and those on the home front during World Wars I and II. The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Military Museum, our hosts for the evening, will have extra displays set up and will open their galleries before and after the event."
That’s it for this week. Heck, we didn’t even get to mention the Canadian Folk Music Awards showcases around town, or tonight's visit by Alexander McCall Smith.
