Naturalisms is an exploration of the mysterious transformation that takes place as materials shift from “natural” to “man-made”. The exhibition imagines a series of objects that occupy this in-between state; each object is realized through print, sculpture, and text as an alchemic hybrid that reflects on humanity’s relationship to matter.
Gallery hours: Saturdays 11 AM - 3 PM, & other days by appointment.
Stop by on June 8 between 11 AM - 3 PM to be the first to see this exhibit and enjoy some refreshments with us.
Instead of a formal artist talk, Holly will be leading a free community workshop on June 29th! At this drop in event, participants will create a simple artist’s book using found materials that consider the many possible iterations of the word “natural”. Using printmaking methods, participants will gather textures from plants and surfaces found in the community around the gallery and print them in their books.
Please note: our space is accessed by a flight of stairs.
