"The First Metaphor is a collaborative gallery show made up of 14 linocut images by Valemount BC visual artist Alison Kubbos, paired with 14 poems by Edmonton writer Kelly Shepherd. These pairings, or “stations,” are meant to explore and blur the lines between the conscious and the unconscious, and particularly between the human and other-than-human worlds.
